This article by Carl Conrad, published online, violates the criteria for inclusion in this bibliography in that it does not consciously apply a clearly stated form of modern linguistics to the problem it address. An exception has been made in this case, however, because of the strong challenge this article presents to more traditional ways of understanding Greek Voice.

This is a helpful treatment of conditional clauses for classical Greek. A similar study for the hellenistic period is still needed because changes in the use of the optative mood had caused a realignment of the forms used for conditional sentences by that later period.

In deciding whether to accept a suggested addition to the bibliography, the following guidelines are used:
-
•Works to be added to this bibliography must treat some issue directly relevant to understanding Hellenistic Greek (koine Greek), or an earlier form of the Greek language (though preference is given to works discussing the language of the Hellenistic period). Works addressing Classical Greek are included where no parallel work discussing Hellenistic Greek is available.

•Any work added to this bibliography must self-consciously apply a specific model of modern linguistics. No preference is given to one model over others, but all works should clearly state what form of linguistics is being applied.
If you know of a work that meets these criteria and would like to recommend if for inclusion in the bibliography, enter the bibliographic information as a comment on the Greek Language and Linguistics Blog along with a brief statement of why you think the work should be included.
